How to Measure Your Feet

For the best fit, follow these simple steps to measure your feet accurately:

  1. Length: Place a piece of paper on the floor against a wall. Stand on the paper with your heel against the wall and mark the longest part of your foot. Measure the distance from the wall to the mark.
  2. Width: Measure the widest part of your foot, usually across the ball of your foot.
  3. Measure Both Feet: Since feet can differ in size, measure both feet and use the larger measurement.
  4. Refer to Hykes Barefoot Size Chart: Record your foot’s length and width, and find your correct size in Hykes Barefoot Size Table. Done!

Tips:

  1. Measure in the evening, when the foot is at its fullest shape
  2. Be barefoot or put on socks that you plan to wear with the new shoes
  3. Stand on a hard surface

Tips:

  1. Ask a friend to help you
  2. Stand straight with your weight equally distributed on both legs
  3. Trace both feet because it’s normal for one to be longer than the other

Tips:

  1. Measure the distance between the two most prominent points (from the back of the heel to the end of the longest toe)
  2. Write down the numbers you get
  3. Use measurements of the longer foot

Tips for Finding Your Perfect Fit

  • Consider Sock Thickness: If you usually wear thicker socks, consider sizing up slightly to accommodate them.
  • Foot Swelling: Feet tend to swell throughout the day, so measuring your feet in the afternoon or evening can provide a more accurate fit.
  • Check for Width: If you have wider feet, opt for shoes that offer wide sizes or extra room in the toe box.
  • Between Sizes: If your shoe size falls between two sizes, choose the larger size. For example, if a size 7 fits well in some brands but a 7.5 fits better in others, we recommend ordering the size 7.5.

NOTE: If you use the UK, US, or AU shoe size systems and are unsure which size to choose, please check the European Shoe (EU) size on the label behind your shoe’s tongue. Selecting the same size as your European Shoe (EU) size will ensure a perfect fit.
